Dr. Presley is an elected public official currently serving as President of the Board of Education for the Franklin Township Public School District. She is a member of the Raritan Valley Chapter of the LINKS, Incorporated, and chairs the National Trends Facet and Fund Development Committee. Her diverse experience includes over 25 years in corporate executive level management and business and systems analyst positions, requiring a strong managerial and strategic planning skill set. She oversaw the implementation of systems worldwide and managed multi-million dollar budgets. She served as a Director with the Central Jersey Community Development Corporation, where she established and launched the Harvest of Hope Family Services Network and developed and piloted the Family Resource Center. She served as the Executive Director of Metro-Urban Programs with World Vision, Inc., New York Metropolitan Area, where she led a mission to South Africa and oversaw the planning and coordination of major events and programs to raise awareness of the HIV epidemic and impoverished and orphaned children and families in crisis globally. Dr. Presley also served as the public spokesperson and created the disaster recovery plan to serve survivors and families who lost loved ones during the 911 crisis. Her experience also includes five years as Business Administrator at a private school.
Dr. Presley’s proven record of achievement and strong problem solving business acumen led to rapid career growth and challenging career opportunities. She is adept in team building and has in-depth experience in creating interpersonal relationships that foster creative solutions to complex problems.
Responding to her call to professional ministry, Dr. Presley earned her Doctor of Ministry and Master of Divinity Degrees from New Brunswick Theological Seminary. She was ordained by American Baptist Churches USA and licensed to Preach by First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens; and Certified by MH First Aid USA, National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare. She also earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degrees from Rutgers University and attended Seton Hall University for non-profit management certification.
Dr. Presley is the recipient of several awards, including Unisys Corporation 1990 Professional Woman of the year Award; award and induction into the Professional Women’s Hall of Fame, the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc.; and the Community Advocate 2012 Woman of Achievement Award, Central Jersey Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Dr. Presley is married to Deacon Stephen H. Presley, and they have one daughter, two sons, and twelve grandchildren. Next to God, her family is most important in her life.

Rev. Dr. Julia M. Hawks Presley is a native of Cranford, NJ, and for the past 35 years has resided in Somerset, NJ. She is an ordained minister and currently serves as the Pastor of Church Development, responsible for Evangelism and Discipleship Ministries at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Garden. She also is a Preacher, Teacher, Pastoral Care Minister, Pre-marital Counselor and a Certified Mental Health First Responder. In addition, Presley officiates at funeral and marriage ceremonies.
